Hey guys!! Who knew wedding planning was so time consuming?! Okay, I guess everyone knows it is time consuming.. haha! Anyways, Patrick and I aren’t getting married until 2020, but we are trying to get a head start on planning since we are both always so busy with work and travel! I honestly don’t know what I would do if it weren’t for my girlfriends who listen to me go back-and-forth between venue choices and color schemes. All the wedding talk has got me thinking about how important our girlfriends are in the wedding planning process, and how they should totally be recognized for that!
A couple of weeks ago, Patrick and I celebrated our eighth Anniversary together with a weekend getaway to the beautiful Sonoma Valley. Do you guys remember this post from our last Sonoma Valley trip for Valentine’s Day earlier this year?! Sonoma Valley holds a special place in Patrick and I’s heart. We have been visiting with family for years and we just got engaged at a winery up there! So many of you guys have reached out saying how helpful these Itinerary’s are for planning special getaway’s to wine country, so I am excited to share all the fun things we did on our recent trip! If you decide to use this itinerary (or any part of it) for a romantic getaway or girls weekend, send me an email or DM with a photo from one of the the locations and i’ll make sure to share it on my Insta Stories!
Today marks Patrick and I’s 8 Year Anniversary. EIGHT YEARS!! I can’t even begin to grasp how long that truly is, but I honestly can’t remember what life was before Patrick walked into my life. Divine timing brought us together at the exact moment we needed each other most, and for the last 8 years I have fallen more and more in love with him every single day. It is true that when you know, you know. I’ve known for a great deal of time that Patrick is my person. It is clear in the way we treat each other, the way we stand beside each other and the way we root each other on in everything we do. Our relationship allows us to be fearlessly ambitious, while keeping things in perspective. As long as we have each other, we can get through and tackle just about anything that comes our way. How incredibly comforting is that? Patrick is my greatest blessing in life and I feel so fortunate to have been able to spend the last 8 years of my life with him and look forward to a million more.
Jumped in the car for an end of Summer road trip with Hammitt! I had so much fun sharing some of my favorite stops when venturing up to wine country. I always, always stop at the Sonoma Valley Fruit Stand when going to or coming from wine tastings!! This little fruit stand gives me all the feels and is filled with the freshest fruit to grab for the ride!
