Wine Country

A few of my best girlfriends are in town we are heading up to wine country day for a girls weekend. I always get asked what to wear for wine tastings, and I really don’t think you could ever go wrong with a sun dress in the Fall, Spring or Summer. Although a white dress may be risky when drinking white wine, it is a beautiful and fresh often… just be careful holding your red wines haha! I could not be more obsessed with the details on this dress from Modern Vintage Boutique. The neckline, lace hemlines and tiered skirt are the prettiest feminine details for wine country with the girls. I paired it with a boater hat to make the dress a bit more casual. Also, since wine tasting usually means you’ll be out for the majority of the day, always pack a pair of flats in your purse for when you get tired of the heels! Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

White Bodysuit

I’m headed up to wine country this afternoon to shoot a few blog looks, as well as work with and see my girlfriend Andrea Lowry Photography who recently announced her third pregnancy (so excited!!)!! Honestly, i’ll use just about any excuse to head across the bridge and wine country is so beautiful this time of year. I have a thing for bodysuits and it is so hard to find a white one that isn’t see-through or too tight. I LOVE this lace up one from Modern Vintage Boutique. It is the perfect weight and light enough to be worn even on sunnier days. I have also fully adhered to the tassel earring trend. They seriously make an outfit and I always get so many compliments on them while i’m out! Island Girl

Happy Sunday, beautiful people! It is days like today that make me pinch myself that I get to live in San Francisco. The sun has been shining all weekend long, and has actually been hot enough to head to the beach! Now that I have been here for over a year, I have discovered so many secret local spots that you wouldn’t know how to find unless someone told you how. For example, The Black Sands Beach in the Marin Headlands is an almost untouched beach that few people know how to get to. Lucky for you, I am totally willing to spill the location deets to my readers. It is located right between Kirby Cove Camp and the Bonita Point Lighthouse. There is a tiny parking lot on the lefthand side with a little stairway that will lead you all the way down to the beach. I swear you will be instantly transported to a remote island oasis.  3 out of 4 times we have gone, we have been the only ones on the beach and it is equally as magical on a foggy day as it is on a sunny day. I recently got this dress from Modern Vintage Boutique because I thought it would be the perfect vacation dress! It can be worn as a swimsuit coverup, but can also be dressed up for dinner at the resort. I always look for pieces that can serve multiple purposes when traveling!

Fringed Hemlines

It has been such a beautiful morning in San Francisco! I woke up early today to get a head start on today’s long list of to-do’s and just got home from a really great workout. I have been feeling a little sick the last few days (I always get sick after traveling.. so annoying!), so it felt good to get a good sweat sesh in. Bodysuits and fringed jeans have been my uniform lately and I loved this bodysuit so much that I ended up getting it in black too! A bunch of my girlfriends are coming into town for a Napa trip next weekend, and I will be doing nothing other than sipping wine and enjoying a much needed getaway. Can we just skip the next few days and go strait to that? Any recommendations on a good spot for the girls in wine country?
