I recently went on a little shopping spree at Tobi after seeing so many ridiculously cute items at insane prices. Remember this Valentine’s Day dress I wore last week?! Tobi! I also picked up this adorable mini dress for wine tasting the other weekend (it comes in all-black, too!). It gives me major Italian vibes which is always a perfect look for wine country!! I am loving the off-the-shoulder look for early Spring and the cute ruffle details paired with embroidery is perfection. I paired the look with nude shoes and accessories to let the dress do all the talking! What do you think? Are you loving this dress as much as I do?! I’m obsessed and ended up getting it in all-black too!!
Moving to San Francisco was one of the best decisions i’ve ever made. It’s no wonder why everyone says you’ll leave your heart here. I honestly can’t imagine living anywhere else now and feel so fortunate to call this beautiful city home! One thing I quickly learned about living here is that if you don’t have a jacket with you every single day, you’re probably not a local. We do get beautiful sunny days sprinkled in, but i’ve grown to love the consistently-inconsistent weather. San Francisco is full of microclimates and the temperature can change a lot in a single day. Layers are ALWAYS a must, so the one thing I always keep stocked in my coat closet. I recently got this amazing cardigan from Magnolia Boutique and it became an instant fave. It is equal parts chic and cozy and is perfect for so many different weather conditions. It’s unbelievably comfortable and flattering and has this amazing cool-girl, blazer vibe. It’s a must-have in every woman’s closet.
Happy Valentine’s Day!!! I’ve never been particularly into Valentine’s Day because I believe that the same love should be brought into each and every day. However, for some reason my thoughts changed a bit this year. I thought about how i’ve been lucky enough to spend the last 7 Valentine’s Days with the love of my life and thought about all the memories it has created for us. I thought about all of the little Valentine’s Day gifts my parents still give me each year and the joy even just a thoughtful card on this day means. Love is the root of all things. It allows you to take risks without fear of failure and creates a burning desire to better yourself for your loved ones. But Valentine’s by no means means you need to have a significant other to share it with. There are all kinds of love in this world and I love that this day reminds us celebrate and cherish that love. Whether it is your husband, partner, parents, best friend – Valentine’s Day is all about spreading love. I just love, love!
I spent some time in London at the end of last year and met up with a photographer who I have been insta-friends with since I first started blogging over 2 years ago. Rebecca Spencer of Rebecca Spencer Photography is not only an insanely talented photographer, but one of the coolest chicks around with her charismatic and genuine personality. She has quickly grown to work with some of the biggest names in the business, so I was so excited to meet up with her in South Kensington to photograph one of my favorite gowns by designer Rachel Allan. This Rachel Allan gown screamed royalty to me, so when I found out I was going to be making a trip to London, I knew I had to have it. The details are exquisite and literally sparkle as you move. The organza skirt flows effortlessly with even the softest of movements. It is such a princess gown – which could not have been more fitting walking through the luxe South Kensington neighborhood.
I have been posting so many photos from my Europe trip recently, and in turn have been getting a bunch of questions about what we did, where we went and where we stayed. Spending the holidays in Paris was a dream I never knew I had, but it is something I would love to experience again and again. Patrick and I were in Paris at the end of November into early December. I loved this time of year because everything was set up for Christmas, yet there were still the most amazing Autumn colors. It was truly magical! We were lucky to not have much rain, although there is something nostalgic about hiding away from the rain in a Parisian Café.
