One of the things I love most about living in San Francisco is the proximity to wine country and the access I have to some of the best wines in the world. It is not rare to spend weekends wine tasting with friends and family, or to try a new Rosé at brunch. There is a strong and passionate wine culture in this city that creates an unspoken, but powerful bond between wine glasses.

I can’t say I always understood what the hype was about. I wouldn’t have even known the difference between a Pinot Grigio and a Pinot Noir if you asked me 6 years ago. However, when I met my boyfriend nearly 7 years ago and was introduced to his big Italian family, I cherished the glasses we shared together and the memories we created with them.

My blog is a space where I share the things I love most. So naturally, I have been wanting to share my love for wine with you guys and introduce you to one of my all-time favorites, Chloe Wine Collection.

Chloe Wine is incredibly feminine, which is what initially drew me to their wines. The former Marketing Director in me quickly fell in love with their branding and I started to purposefully leave their wine bottles out in our kitchen as decorations. I first tried their Rosé and loved its’ fruit flavor so much that I kept restocking our fridge for summer days. The more I learned about the Collection, the more I fell in love with it. I support it even more because the winemaker is actually an incredible woman, Georgetta Dane, who was born in Romania and immigrated to the US with her husband and daughter to Monterey, California. Today she combines her old world European roots with her contemporary American life to craft some of the most luxurious and sophisticated wines I’ve ever had.

Wine is all about bringing people together and I usually lean towards Chardonnay, Rosé or Prosecco on warm summer days. Whenever we are entertaining or we are attending a party, I always like to create a signature cocktail for the guests. It’s such an easy way to go above and beyond the typical glass of wine and instantly creates a celebratory atmosphere.

My go-to cocktail recipe for a Summer Brunch is the Prosecco Blackberry + Lime Sparkle, and I always make it with the flavorful Chloe Prosecco. AKA – Make this cocktail if you want to impress. Chloe Prosecco is sourced directly from the Prosecco DOC in Italy and perfectly complements an elegant Summer Brunch with its’ bursting bubbles and notes of peaches, apples and flowers. It is rich, yet balanced and crisp enough for a brunch cocktail.

Prosecco Blackberry + Lime Sparkle

4 Parts Chilled Chloe Prosecco

1 1/2 Parts Gin

3⁄4 Parts Fresh Lime Juice

1⁄2 Part Agave

1⁄4 Part Blackberry Liqueur

Combine all ingredients, except Chloe Prosecco, in a cocktail shaker with ice.

Shake to chill, and strain into a wine glass or flute. Top with chilled Chloe Prosecco, and garnish with lime and fresh blackberries.

Cheers to a summer of creating timeless memories and creating beautiful moments in the every day.
