Little Red Dress

I’ve never been one to wear red, especially not after Christmas and Valentine’s Day, but for some reason I have been totally drawn to it lately! It is sultry, sexy and feminine and exudes a sort of confidence that you aren’t able to get with other shades. I instantly fell in love with this dress from Paperback Boutique because of the fit and I loved the idea of adding the bold red to my wardrobe. The peplum is super flattering and makes it casual, as well as appropriate, for so many different occasions.

Grey Suede on a Grey Day

Good morning, guys! I hope you enjoyed the long weekend! I had fun plans to spend the weekend in Napa, but ended up sick in bed. Patrick brought me soup from Whole Foods and we laid around watching movies all day, which turned out to be pretty great too! I’m feeling a million times better today, thankfully, and am headed to a coffee shop to catch up on work. I love this casual, comfy look for rainy days in the city. This suede jacket with a waterfall neckline from Gentle Fawn is so insanely soft (seriously feels like you are wearing a blanket) and has been my go to lately. I sized down and got an extra small because it runs a tad bit big. Think I might have to get it in dark grey too…

Roses are Red

Happy Valentine’s Day, loves! I have been dying to share these Valentine’s Day images with you! This is part two (see part one here) of my Valentine’s Day Lookbook shot with Rachel Allan at the magical Castello Di Amorosa. This gown is literally what dreams are made of and the epitome of romance. When I was in Santorini after college there was a wedding on the cliffs of Oia that I witnessed while passing by. To this day the image is engraved in my brain. The bride wore the most stunning white mermaid gown with a white rose train that draped down the ledge and trailed off the edge of the white covered cliffs. I remember being speechless, standing before something that looked more like a painting than real life. The dress was almost identical to this one, only the train was even more elaborate if you can try to imagine. I am constantly being asked what inspires my photoshoots and this is a perfect example of how profound memories are able to be reborn in new places and new situations.

Ariana Lauren’s Galentine’s Day Brunch

A few weeks ago I attending the most beautiful Galentine’s Day Brunch hosted by Ariana Lauren of FashionBorn at her home in the Marina. Ariana’s home was perfectly decorated in pink and red hues, with attention to even the tiniest of details. I spent the morning chatting and sipping guava cocktails with some of the most inspiring women whom I’ve come to know through this crazy blogging world. It is so important to celebrate the girlgang as well and it was so sweet of Ariana to bring us all together in such a beautiful setting.
