It’s the first Monday of the New Year, the first week back to work after the holiday buzz and i’m actually dying to get back to my routine and start working towards the goals I set for myself this year. You can’t go wrong with an all-black look and I am swooning over this peplum top I got from Windsor Store. I never thought I had the body type to pull off a peplum but now I literally have to convince myself that I can’t wear it every day. The shape is so flattering!
I’m back in San Francisco after spending a couple weeks in Colorado over the holidays. It was so good to catch up with friends and family and there were endless celebrations! Life is so wonderful. This lookbook with Nasty Gal was shot by the insanely talented Luke Gottlieb (or you may know him by Victor of Valencia) in a tree farm out in Colorado. It was just as magical in person as it is in these photos. I know we’re only a couple days into the New Year, but I can already tell this is going to be the best year yet.
It’s hard to believe that tomorrow is the first day of 2016!
This year has been a huge year of growth for me. Exactly a year ago I accepted a promotion at work and dedicated my life to it. I put my blog on pause for nearly a year to focus on my career. I was content with life. I had a beautiful brand new apartment, an amazing job that I worked hard for and life was going smoothly. If there is something that I have learned it is that whenever you start to get complacent – life happens and snaps you out of that really quick. And thank god it does.
My Wednesday Hair Inspo with Bam Hair and Brittany Renee Photography was supposed to end on Christmas but it has been so much fun that I think i’ll keep it going! I love this simple half pony that Bree from Bam Hair gave me! To me it’s the ultimate flirty girl look and it literally takes .5 seconds. Oh and these sunnies are my favorite of all time and if you aren’t familiar with the brand.. get familiar.
I can’t believe Christmas is over! To be honest though, I am ready to get back to my routine and cut down on the sugary sweets and constant Christmas music. Chunky sweaters and leggings have been a staple for me this holiday season and this sweater is my absolute favorite. I love a good, deep maroon sweater in the colder months and these leggings by Helmut Lang add style to an otherwise boring option. I got the sweater and leggings from Willow, a Boulder boutique that I recently discovered and quickly fell in love with. If you are ever in that area you HAVE TO GO! It is the perfect balance between high-end designer and practical-comfort.
