When Lexus initially reached out to gage my interest in attending the Lexus Performance Driving School in Monterey, California, I couldn’t have said yes fast enough. Lexus is known for their relentless innovation and uninhibited performance, as well as their luxurious look and feel. As a Lexus owner myself, I have felt strongly towards the company for years and was thrilled to work with one of the biggest names in the industry.
Good Morning and Happy Monday guys! Today’s post is all about trying new things and why I think you should be doing it constantly! Most of my favorite clothing items and accessories are ones that I thought I would never be able to wear. Case in point: hats. I have always loved the way a hat could bring a look together, but thought I would feel so weird actually wearing one out in public. It felt so awkward the first few times wearing it, but fast forward 4 years and I rarely go a day without one. The point I am trying to make is, you’ll never know if something will work for you unless YOU go try it!! If you think one of the trends isn’t for you, like a cabby hat or round sunnies, I urge you to try it anyways! Trying new things allows you to learn new things about yourself.
I can’t believe that today is the last day of Summer! I swear it was over in the blink of an eye. It makes me think about how important it is to make the most of each and every day because time really does fly. I think we all are guilty of planning for the future rather than living in the present. This Fall, I really want to focus on slowing time down a bit and enjoy the “in between days.” The days in between my next event or my next trip. I want to explore more, take more time off to just relax (this is impossible for me haha) and make the most of the colorful Fall season!! Saying goodbye to Summer is hard, but the beauty of Fall makes it a little easier.
I love getting dressed up for any possible reason, but off-duty weekend days are usually spent running around in athleisure wear. Don’t let the fact that it is technically “summer ” fool you, in San Francisco it is necessary to dress in layers year-round if you plan to be out all day. I love vests heading into Fall when the temps start to drop. They totally give you an effortless, cool-girl vibe and I’m obsessed with this vest I just got from Blue Layne Boutique. It is literally the most perfect shade of olive green and I can’t wait to wear it over and over again this Fall. I typically pair this type of look with comfy sneakers for the inevitable urban hiking and throw a scarf in my bag just in case I get cold later in the day.
Posting this last look from my time in NYC is making me so sad and is totally making me want to go back! The energy you feel from this city is unlike any other. You truly can accomplish more in a New York Minute than any other minute, I promise. I have been a repeat offender of this outfit one too many times, but I am legit obsessed with it. The sleeves on this top are straight from the style gods and pair perfectly with my lovely black and white, lace-up heels from Lola Shoetique. This was the first time I had been to Dumbo after seeing countless photos of it scattered all over Instagram. It almost looked fake and was a bucket list location that I was so excited to finally check off. Also – I do not recommend wearing these heels on cobblestone. Haha!
