White Bodysuit

I’m headed up to wine country this afternoon to shoot a few blog looks, as well as work with and see my girlfriend Andrea Lowry Photography who recently announced her third pregnancy (so excited!!)!! Honestly, i’ll use just about any excuse to head across the bridge and wine country is so beautiful this time of year. I have a thing for bodysuits and it is so hard to find a white one that isn’t see-through or too tight. I LOVE this lace up one from Modern Vintage Boutique. It is the perfect weight and light enough to be worn even on sunnier days. I have also fully adhered to the tassel earring trend. They seriously make an outfit and I always get so many compliments on them while i’m out! The ones I’m wearing in this post are from Bauble Bar and come in so many different style and color variations!

New York, New York

I don’t think I will ever get over how magical my trip to NYC was. I grew up going to NYC every year, but that ended when I went off to college and I hadn’t been back since. The city holds a certain nostalgia, and on this trip my nostalgia collided with the passion of my current world. The hustle gave a certain high that I cannot even begin to put into words. I kept thinking to myself: the little girl that used to look at this city with wide eyes wouldn’t believe this would be her life one day. I don’t think I slept more than a couple hours the entire trip. I didn’t need it. The city was my breath and and the people I met were my lungs. There is a quote that I repeat in my head often and it is this:

“I fall in love with people’s passion. The way their eyes light up when they talk about the thing they love and the way they fill with light.”

Every person I met, ran into and worked with on this trip displayed this quote most perfectly. The fire they had was contagious. Maybe that it just what New York does to you. It allows you to be unapologetically yourself and urges you to follow your dreams.

Gun Metal

I swear San Francisco is one of the most charming cities in the world. It reminds me of Europe in so many ways. I pass this little alley every time I go into Patrick’s office in the financial district and it always transports me to the quant little side streets of Italy. When we were shooting here there were a couple men smoking cigars outside the cigar bar and the streets were still glistening from the early morning rain. I’ve lived here for over a year, but still fall in love with a new piece of the city every single day.

I happened to stumble across my jacket on Nordstrom’s website last night and noticed that it was on sale. This is one of my go-to coats. I love the slight sheen it has to it and the mix between business/casual. It is timeless and is on sale for less than $45, so I had to let you know about it ASAP!! Happy Friday!

Fringed Hemlines

It has been such a beautiful morning in San Francisco! I woke up early today to get a head start on today’s long list of to-do’s and just got home from a really great workout. I have been feeling a little sick the last few days (I always get sick after traveling.. so annoying!), so it felt good to get a good sweat sesh in. Bodysuits and fringed jeans have been my uniform lately and I loved this bodysuit so much that I ended up getting it in black too! A bunch of my girlfriends are coming into town for a Napa trip next weekend, and I will be doing nothing other than sipping wine and enjoying a much needed getaway. Can we just skip the next few days and go strait to that? Any recommendations on a good spot for the girls in wine country?
