Hi lovely people! The thing I love about photography is its’ ability to completely transform the way we think. I don’t know about you guys, but ever since I started working with photography I have found emense beauty in things that most people just pass by. The way a branch bends, an old abandoned house, tiny wild flowers on the side of the road. I am constantly in awe of the beauty around me and love that photography has shown me to also look at things for their potential, not just for what the eye can see. For example, this set was taken on the side of a busy street in the middle of Boulder. It looks like we’re in an enchanted forest, right? Thousands of people pass by this little creek each day, but I wonder how many people look at it and are blown away by its’ beauty. Brittany Renee Photography took these stunning images. Ahhh! It’s here! I’m officially 25-years-old. I was laying in bed last night, thinking about how fast this last year has flown by. Didn’t I just turn 24?! At the same time, so many life-changing events have occurred since then. My boyfriend and I made our big move to San Francisco, I took the leap to pursue a dream that has occupied my mind for years, and as of this week I can officially say that I am the proud business owner of The City Blonde LLC. Yes, this year has flown by, but it has undoubtably been one of the most significant years of my life. I’ve learned to value the opinion I have of myself over the opinions of others. I’ve learned that life is too short to let the opinions of others affect how you lead your life, or keep you from living a life that you truly, whole-heartedly love. Even if it isn’t the so-called “norm.” I think what I’m trying to say is that I feel I came into my skin over the last year. I feel more me than I have ever felt. I feel alive. Motivated. Loved. I have a vision of what I want to accomplish, and a plan of how to get there. At 25, I am so proud of where I am today.
